Chris Stapleton Teases Upcoming Super Bowl LVII Performance

Chris Stapleton is headed to Super Bowl LVII.
The eight-time Grammy winner took to Instagram to announce that he will be on hand for the major sporting event to sing the national anthem.
Fans of the “Tennessee Whiskey” crooner couldn’t contain their excitement, taking to the comments to note that it’s going to be “the best national anthem ever heard.”
Fellow country artist Lindsay Ell wrote, “I AM HERE FOR THIS,” as a fan added, “Oh man, this is going to be ??.”
Oscar winner Troy Kotsur, who became the second deaf actor to win an Academy Award for his role in CODA, will perform the national anthem in sign language.
Stapleton and Kotsur are part of the pregame entertainment lineup for the Feb. 12 Super Bowl at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium.

On Jan. 24, the NFL also announced additional performers—R&B legend Babyface will perform “America the Beautiful” while Abbott Elementary star and Emmy winner Sheryl Lee Ralph will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
Colin Denny will sign “America the Beautiful” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be signed by Justina Miles.
The U.S. Navy will also conduct a flyover over the stadium during the national anthem to commemorate 50 years of women flying in the service, per the official press release. The formation will feature female aviators.

The show—executive produced by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for the fourth year in a row—will welcome Rihanna to the stage for the iconic Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.
