Chrissy Teigen Goes Private on Twitter Amid Alison Roman Drama
Chrissy Teigen is taking a break from Twitter following drama with Alison Roman.
Alison accused Chrissy of running a content farm and said it "horrifies" her.
Anyone else extremely exhausted as a result of all the Alison Roman Twitter drama this weekend? Apparently Chrissy Teigen is right there with you. The cookbook author, model, and all around beloved member of Twitter made her account private over the weekend after being caught up in a whole thing involving popular food writer Alison Roman (ya know, THE STEW?).
In case you missed it, Alison said the following:
"Like, what Chrissy Teigen has done is so crazy to me. She had a successful cookbook. And then it was like: Boom, line at Target. Boom, now she has an Instagram page that has over a million followers where it's just, like, people running a content farm for her. That horrifies me and it's not something that I ever want to do. I don't aspire to that. But like, who's laughing now? Because she's making a ton of fucking money."
While the internet initially had Chrissy's back after she said Roman's comments were a "huge bummer," Twitter eventually started coming for Chrissy and she seems pretty upset over it, to the point where she made her account private and explained that she's taking a break:
"I really hate what this drama has caused this week. Calling my kids Petri dish babies or making up flight manifests with my name on them to 'Epstein island,' to justify someone else’s disdain with me seems gross to me so I’m gonna take a little break. This is what always happens. The first day, a ton of support, then the next, 1 million reasons as to why you deserved this. It never fails."
In conclusion: UGHHHHHH, the internet.
