Chrissy Teigen Publicly Apologized to Beyoncé for the Way She Acted at Her Oscar Party
Not a lot of detail has come out about Beyoncé and Jay-Z's exclusive Oscar after party this year. But Chrissy Teigen shared a tiny bit about what her night there was like, including that her interaction with Beyoncé was so awkward that she felt compelled to publicly apologize to the hostess for it.
Teigen and Legend started their Oscar night at Vanity Fair's post-ceremony party, where Teigen wore a great green high slit dress.
In her Instagram post about Bey's party, Teigen showed off her outfit change into a gorgeous white tiered dress. Then she sought Queen Bey's forgiveness for her behavior.
"Changed for the night!!" Teigen wrote. "@Beyonce if there is any, any way you’re reading this please just know I stare at you and don’t talk because I am truly so nervous to say something stupid but we love you and thank you so much!!! (Love to @hairinel and @novakaplan and @monicarostyle for late night glam!!)"
Teigen isn't the only celeb who has had trouble being in front of Beyoncé at the Oscar bash because she was so starstruck. Emilia Clarke also spoke about having a flustered meeting with Beyoncé at the 2019 party.
“So I did not expect to see them, you know, in the flesh, I wasn’t expecting that at all,” she said on the Graham Norton Show in October. “I was just like, ‘Oh my god, I’m invited!’ And Queen Bey came up to me, and obviously, looked at me like, ‘Oh…I’d like to talk to you!’ and I just did not respond in the way that I was thinking she thought that I might respond. As in, she obviously came up and was like, this’ll be cool, and I was like, ‘Oh my god.’ [I was] too many drinks in, started crying, it didn’t go well. I mean, literally, eyes welling up like, ‘I can’t handle this, it’s too intense.’”
