Chrissy Teigen shuts down 'baby bump' question with sensitivity to those struggling with infertility
Chrissy Teigen is here to tell you to mind your manners — it's not polite to ask a woman whether she's pregnant.
The 33-year-old mother of two shared a cute photo of her and her husband, John Legend, to social media where she was wearing a towel as a wedding dress and a veil to parody "Four Weddings."
Someone commented on the photo and asked the model if she was pregnant by writing: "baby bump?" and attaching a thinking face emoji at the end.
Teigen, who is no stranger to clap backs, respectfully responded that it wasn't OK to ask women whether they're pregnant.
"I know you didn't mean it to be rude but think twice about asking this, there are people who have trouble conceiving and it hurts every time," Teigen wrote. "I'm not pregnant but would be happy if I were. But I'm also happy not to be."
Another person responded saying that the pregnancy question is also hurtful when "you are trying to lose your baby weight and still have a bump and people ask or think this question."
Teigen replied: "Yeah I'm already reminded of it every time I get out of the shower, I don't need to hear it on the daily lol."

Teigen has been open about how her body has changed since having her second child.
In an interview with Good Housekeeping, the mom shared how she struggled with weight gain and how having children changed her perspective on her body.
"I’m not blind: I see my body, I see the difference in shape, I see that I gained weight," Teigen told the magazine. "But I also see with those same eyes that I have a beautiful baby boy, and an amazing little girl, and I am very happy."
