Chrissy Teigen's Ultrasound Had a Little Help from 4-Year-Old Luna

From Harper's BAZAAR

  • Yesterday, Chrissy Teigen shared a video of her recent ultrasound to Instagram.

  • In the video, her daughter, four-year-old Luna Simone Stephens, lends a helping hand for the procedure.

  • Teigen and her husband, John Legend, announced her pregnancy by teasing the news in a music video last month.

Ever since she and husband John Legend confirmed that they're pregnant with their third child together, Chrissy Teigen has been excitedly sharing snippets of her pregnancy experience with fans and well-wishers on social media. From showing off her baby bump to sharing why she got Botox while expecting, there's never a shortage of new baby news.

Yesterday was no exception, as the model shared on Instagram a video of her recent ultrasound. In the clip, Teigen and Legend's four-year-old daughter, Luna Simone Stephens, mans the transducer (while being assisted by the technician, of course), applying it directly to the belly in order to produce an image of a fetus.

"What do you see, doctor?" Teigen asks Luna. The four-year-old giggles in response.

Teigen wrote in the caption of the video, "On weekends we freak out! Before I'm able to start feeling the kicks, the anxiety gets the best of me and any little bits of spotting or pain freak me ouuuuuut. one day I swear I'll buy one of these machines but by then I'll be all done with having monsters! But as my little Luna embarks on her very first sleepover tonight, another little one makes some big growth moves of their own. all is well. @Drthaisaliabadi @drsteverad ????"

For Marie Claire's fall 2020 cover story, Teigen opened up about mothering young kids (including her two-year-old, Miles Theodore Stephens) given the current state of the world.

"There are books that I read when I became a mom that would explain to them hard and traumatic situations. But it's really hard to teach them about their privilege; there are no books for that. But regardless of money or status, they're always going to have their skin color," she said. "When it comes to them being treated differently because of the color of their skin, I'm going to look to John for a lot of help with that because while they are Asian and white too, their skin color is Black. We just try to talk to them like little adults, saying it in words they'll understand, making it known that it's very serious, and letting them ask as many questions as they need."
