Christina Applegate Reveals She Has Been Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis
Christina Applegate has revealed that she has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.), Multiple sclerosis (MS), "an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body," according to the National M.S. Society. The Dead to Me actress took to Instagram to share the news with her fans and followers.
"Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS," Applegate wrote. "It's been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition."
She continued opening up about her "tough road," writing, "As we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some asshole blocks it."

In a separate Tweet, the Married With Children star added a piece of advice she received from another friend with M.S. "As one of my friends that has MS said 'we wake up and take the indicated action,'" she wrote. "And that's what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo."
Applegate has been open in the past regarding her health struggles. In 2008, she was diagnosed with breast cancer during an M.R.I., and went on to have a double mastectomy. She started a foundation, called Right Action for Women, which offers free MRIs for high risk women, according to Entertainment Tonight.
