Christina Haack Shares New Details About the Home She Quietly Purchased in Tennessee
On HGTV's Flip or Flop, Christina Haack (formerly Anstead) and co-host Tarek El Moussa purchase rundown and bank-owned properties with the hopes of restoring them and placing them back on the market for a higher price. Throughout the last nine seasons, they've invested in a plethora of SoCal properties and more often than not, have greatly profited from these flips. Given their expertise in property investment, we can't help but wonder: What do their personal real estate portfolios look like? Read on to learn more about all of the known properties Christina Haack has called home (For a deep dive into El Moussa's property history, click here).
Christina Haack's Tennessee home
In early 2021, the Christina on the Coast star, who is known for her signature California casual style, quietly purchased her second home in Tennessee. As she told People, she "fell in love with Tennessee" after a visit during fall 2020 with her eldest kids, Taylor and Brayden, whom she shares with Tarek El Moussa (Haack also is the mom to Hudson London Anstead, who she shares with ex-husband and former Wheeler Dealers host Ant Anstead). They were going to visit her friend and nutritionist Cara Clark, with whom she co-authored The Wellness Remodel.
For Haack, it was love at first sight. "Being out there on all that land reminded me of my favorite childhood memories, which were staying summers on my grandparents' farm," she told People. "I felt so carefree and loved taking out their quads and hanging with my cousins on all the land," she continued, adding that the state is "gorgeous" and "the people out there are so nice."
As 2020 came to a close, she returned on a solo trip and decided to look at some properties." An "insanely beautiful modern farmhouse" caught her eye and she "immediately fell in love." Haack ended up purchasing the home, which sits on 23 acres of land and offers optimal privacy.
The mom-of-three has yet to share photos of the home on social media yet; however, People got an exclusive look inside. Also, in a post teasing the upcoming season of Christina on the Coast (get the deets here!), Haack revealed that this new installment of episodes will feature her out-of-state home. In terms of her Tennessee residency, a representative for Haack confirmed to People in May 2021 that she has no plans to live in the home full time and will use it as a vacation home.
Christina Haack's Newport Beach, CA home
Haack shared this gorgeous Orange County home with now estranged husband Ant Anstead from 2018 to 2020. It was here that they hosted their secret (yet absolutely fairytale-esque!) wedding, which was featured on Christina on the Coast.
Back in 2019, Haack spoke with HGTV Magazine about this bohemian modern farmhouse-style home, which mixed her and Anstead's styles while also taking into consideration their blended family (they each had two children from their previous marriages). Before the former couple went house hunting, they agreed on what their ideal house would look like: "Single level, preferably farmhouse style, and I've always loved a black and white home," she recalled to the magazine at the time. This house definitely checked all those boxes.
Inside, the spacious living room boasted high ceilings and large windows that allowed ample amounts of natural light in and offered views of the backyard pool—a perfect gathering spot for their family. Anstead had also done a little handiwork himself, incorporating some industrial elements by constructing the steel bed frame and lights for the main bedroom, as well an entire metal and glass wine cabinet that can hold around 180 bottles in the kitchen. Black and white details can often be seen in the home—including in the bathroom, which the couple made no renovations to whatsoever.
Another highlight of the home was the backyard, which Haack and Anstead had transformed into a cool, outdoor oasis that had a pool and water slide for the kids. The area seamlessly coordinated with the home's interiors, featuring a black and white tiled grilling and bar area.
In April 2021, Haack listed the home for $6 million. The following month, People confirmed that she had found a buyer. Since this was Haack's main residence, it is unknown where she will be living next.
Christina Haack's Yorba Linda, CA home
Christina Haack purchased this six-bedroom home in Yorba Linda home with Tarek El Moussa in December 2013, shortly after had landed Flip or Flop with HGTV. Here, they continued to grow their family and careers with HGTV. According to Realtor.com, they purchased the property for $2 million. While living there, they shelled out an additional $1.5 million to transform the home's backyard into an island oasis complete with a dining area, pool, and fire pit. In the video up above, Haack shows us inside the home's kitchen.
Unfortunately, El Moussa and Anstead announced they were getting a divorce in late 2016. Their onetime family home was sold for $2.925 million in 2018.
