Love is in the air this holiday season, and what better place to find it than the Hallmark Channel! With tons of movies lining up the 2023 Countdown to Christmas, it can be hard to keep up, but if there's one you don't want to miss, it's Christmas on Cherry Lane (premiering on the Hallmark Channel December 9, 8/7c), filled with a star-studded cast, three heartwarming stories and good old fashioned Christmas cheer!
What is Christmas on Cherry Lane about?
Christmas on Cherry Lane follows the stories of three couples played by a stellar cast of characters. Lizzie and John (played by Erin Cahill and John Brotherton) are a young couple aiming for a quiet Christmas Eve before the arrival of their baby, when their family decides to show up for the holiday. Mike (Jonathan Bennett) and Zian (Vincent Rodriguez III) are thrilled when given the opportunity to grow their family, and Nelson (James Denton) and Regina (Catherine Bell) are excited about their engagement and moving their relationship forward, but her children aren't ready to move on so quickly.

Catherine Bell as Regina
Many know 55-year-old Catherine Bell for her role as Cassie Nightingale in Good Witch, but you may also recognize her for her roles in shows like JAG, Army Wives, NCIS: Los Angeles, and in films like Bruce Almighty (2003) and Men of War (1994).
The Hallmark Good Witch franchise, which she leads, is actually the most successful in network history! She starred in a total of seven films in the series before it transitioned into a television series in 2015. Some of her other Hallmark credits include Meet Me at Christmas, Home for Christmas Day and A Summer to Remember, to name a few. In addition to acting, she also has her own jewelry line, called Catherine Bell Jewelry.
Jonathan Bennett as Mike
Jonathann Bennett is perhaps best known for his role as heartthrob Aaron Samuels in the cult classic 2004 comedy, Mean Girls, however, in the last few years, he has become one of the most consistent faces to grace the Hallmark Channel.
The 42-year-old Ohio native has starred in Hallmark movies such as Christmas Made to Order, The Christmas House, The Christmas House 2: Deck Those Halls and Wedding of a Lifetime. Outside of Hallmark and Mean Girls, Bennett has had roles in movies like Love Wrecked (2005), The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning (2007) and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005), to name a few.
John Brotherton as John
John Brotherton may be recognizable to most for his roles in shows like American Horror Stories, Fuller House, One Life to Live and more, as well as films such as Furious 7 (2015), The Conjuring (2013) and Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
His works on the Hallmark Channel include The Christmas Contest and Lights, Camera, Christmas! The 43-year-old Washington native got started acting at only 10-years-old.
Erin Cahill as Lizzie
Erin Cahill is another actress who has become a fixture on the Hallmark Channel, starring in seven movies so far. Some of her Hallmark films include The Secret Ingredient, Love, Fall and Order, Last Vermont Christmas, Hearts in the Game, A Timeless Christmas, and Every Time a Bell Rings.
Her earliest roles were in shows like Power Rangers Time Force, Crossing Jordan and General Hospital, but she has since appeared in popular series such as Supernatural, Castle, Ghost Whisperer and Grey's Anatomy. Aside from acting, Cahill also is passionate about her work done with the non-profit BuildOn, where she has worked to raise funds and build schools in places like Malawi and Nepal.

James Denton as Nelson
Two of James Denton's most notable roles were in Desperate Housewives and Good Witch. His other parts included roles on The Pretender, Ally McBeal, The West Wing and JAG.
Some of his notable film roles include Face/Off (1997), Undead or Alive (2007), Custody (2007), Tortured (2008) and Beautiful Dreamer (2006), to name a few. His Hallmark movies include Perfect Harmony, For Love and Honor, and several of the Good Witch films, as well as multiple seasons of the television series.
Vincent Rodriguez III as Zian
The 41-year-old actor is celebrated for roles in shows such as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and known for his work in other series like Insatiable and With Love. Starting his acting career out on the stage, Vincent Rodriguez III has made a name for himself on the screen, and even does work as a voice actor in Mortal Combat 1.
