Ciara’s Curly Retro ‘Do Is Giving Us *MAJOR* ‘Flashdance’ Vibes
Talk about an 80’s flashback! All year long, we’ve been looking back to the decade of neon colors, vinyl fabrics, and voluminous locks for fashion and beauty inspo. Now, Ciara is taking things up a notch, capping 2017 off with an epic throwback to one of the greatest movies of the era: Flashdance!
While we’ve seen the mother of two show off her gorgeous natural ringlets before, the short new look she just debuted in an Instagram selfie was a total blast from the past, harkening back to Jennifer Beals’ famously bouncy locks from the iconic film. “Retro Vibes. This #Hair Was Fun,” the musician wrote.
The “I Bet” singer’s stylist, César DeLe?n Ramirêz, also shared the photo, saying “One of my favorite looks we have ever done!”
The recreation was part of Ciara’s sexy Love Magazine Advent Calendar video, in which she danced around in an off-the-shoulder white tee and thigh-high black boots (not unlike Beals’ ensemble for Flashdance’s final scene).
The clip marked a super-seductive end to the yearly advent calendar bonanza, which also featured the likes of Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, and even Miss Piggy.
We, for one, think Ms. Beals would be proud. Looking fab, Ciara!
