Ciara is giving major Meghan Markle vibes in black-and-white Royal Ascot outfit
Has the Meghan Markle effect taken hold of Ciara?
On Thursday, the singer followed in the Duchess of Sussex‘s fashionable footsteps by attending Royal Ascot in a chic black-and-white ensemble that looked strikingly similar to the one worn by Meghan two days earlier.
Both women wore belted white dresses to the British horse racing event, which insists upon a notoriously strict dress code — Bardot necklines, sleeveless dresses, fascinators, and hemlines above the knee are all forbidden.
Ciara’s black hat, which featured an oversized floral detail, also echoed the one modeled by the duchess earlier in the week — and for good reason. Milliner Philip Treacy designed both.
While Meghan’s buttoned-down dress was designed by Givenchy, the fashion house behind her wedding dress, Ciara turned to Edeline Lee for her custom creation, featuring statement sleeves. They both accessorized with black clutches and matching heels.

Like Prince Harry, Ciara’s husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, followed the traditional Royal Ascot dress code of a top hat and morning jacket.
But it wouldn’t be a real Meghan experience without a cameo of the queen. Take it away, Ciara.
