Cindy Crawford's Son Reveals How She Reacted When He Got His First Tattoo at 15

The supermodel's response to her son's first tattoo might surprise you.

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber's two kids, Kaia Gerber and Presley Gerber, are rising stars in the modeling industry, but just like any family, the two didn't always listen to their parents while growing up.

For Presley, a major moment with his parents happened when he got his first tattoo at only 15 years old, and the now-23-year-old finally shared how Crawford initially reacted to the news.

In an interview for the Studio 22 Podcast, Presley described how he got his first tattoo, which is the word "Grateful" on his forearm. He said, "At 15 years old, I had a really interesting experience and I literally went and got my first tattoo. He was in Canada, the guy in there didn’t check my ID, bing bong came home with a tattoo.”

Initially, Presley thought he could hide the tattoo from his parents, but sometimes, they just know.

He said of the moment his mother discovered the tattoo, “I’m in board shorts and a huge hoodie. I eat dinner with [my parents] – everything is a little off, but I eat, I’m talking, we go and watch a movie together. Middle of the movie, [they press] pause, [and say] ‘Hey Pres, take off your hoodie.’”

But it's what Crawford said next that really stunned Presley, “That moment, my mom looked at me and she actually didn’t get mad. She just said, ‘Show your dad,’ and that was the scariest thing that I’ve ever heard come out of her mouth.”

Presley was more worried about his father's approval, recounting his extreme reaction to those three words to the interviewer on the podcast: “I literally teleported through the walls [to my room]."

Despite that, Presley believed that the tattoo was worth getting, even if it meant disappointing his parents, as he said, "Something really tragic happened," adding, "Now, of course, I’ve had some [tattoos] done that I could do without, but that’s how it started out with some reminders I would want on me.”

Clearly, the reaction to his first tattoo wasn't enough to stop Presley from getting many more, and both Crawford and Gerber appear to be super supportive of their kids' choices.
