Citizens of Humanity and Billy Reid have reconnected for a second time.

The Los Angeles-based denim label and Southern-inspired lifestyle brand recently launched a co-branded collection of three women’s jeans. The collaboration offers in-demand fits and colors while maintaining both brands’ relaxed aesthetics.

Referencing baggy-legged silhouettes from the early 2000s, the Paloma jean has vintage detailing and an easy-flowing leg. Made with recycled cotton and lyocell denim, the wide-leg jean has a subtle drape. It comes in a bright medium indigo with light fading and whiskering and finished hems.

The Isola Cropped Boot is a mid-rise jean has a close fit through the leg and slight bootcut flare. The cropped fit hits right above the ankle and comes in light beige. The Isola is also available as a slim fit with a medium indigo wash.

The two brand initially linked up last fall when they collaborated on three exclusive washes for the men’s Adler jean.

“Signature to both Citizens of Humanity and Billy Reid is our dedicated approach to reimagining the classics. We both understand the importance, and the beauty, of crafting products with integrity and authenticity,” said Marianne McDonald, Citizens of Humanity’s creative director, at the time of the launch.

Premium denim is a natural addition for Billy Reid, which has been embracing the Californian lifestyle. Founder Billy Reid moved to L.A. four years ago and the brand recently opened a new store in Venice, Calif.

“Los Angeles is one of our biggest markets, and we’ve built that primarily through e-commerce. Having a shop here provides a great experience for the customer and allows us to continue to connect with them in a more personal way,” Reid said.
