SOUTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — What’s better than slick-looking rides and loving dogs? Absolutely nothing when it comes to the Second Annual Griffin Pond Mutts and Motors Car Show in Lackawanna County.

Owners of classic and sporty cars put their rides on display Sunday at Redline Truck and Trailer in the Abingtons.

Proceeds from Sunday’s event will benefit Griffin Pond Animal Shelter’s emergency medical fund, clinic, and general shelter needs.

“I feel like I’m really making a difference for Griffin Pond Animal Shelter and for the animals. And at the end of the day, that’s what it’s about,” said event organizer Sherry Crolly.

“It’s great to support a local event like this to help support Griffin Pond,” National Car Club Local Chapter President David Ader said.

Griffin Pond staffers also say they are looking for anyone 18 or older to volunteer and help with the animals at the shelter.
