You can attend Coachella without wearing the Internet's most divisive hair accessory. With every hair type in mind, these Instagram stars are reinventing the festival look in completely different ways. Here, 10 hairstyles and not a flower crown in sight.

1. Hair Flowers

For an update on the predictable flower crown, embellish curls with random daisies like Model Diana Veras. The delicately placed blossoms stay put when you secure them with bobby pins.

2. Crossover Braids

Try a twist on the classic double French braid. Plait on the diagonal, then cross them over toward the nap of your neck, and follow through.

3. XXL Hair

Jhené Aiko wears waist-length braids in a deep side part with twists to frame her face.

4. Velvet Wrapped

A quick update to a low ponytail is to wrap it with a ribbon (textiles can vary). Rowan Blanchard polished off her look in velvet.

5. Gold Additions

Make like Sasha Lane and accessorize your dreads (or braids) with tiny gold clips, hoops, and wire. The more randomized, the better.

6. Glitter Parts

Proof that glitter isn't only for your face. For easy removal post-festival, prep by applying dry shampoo first, and avoid placing glitter on your actual scalp.

7. Mohawk Buns

This look will keep your hair off your sweaty neck without having to fall back on a sloppy topknot. Keep cool under the Indie sun by pulling your curls into two, centered buns.

8. Statement Accessory

You don't need to get boho at Coachella. A no-fuss hair accessory, but in large scale and posh in style, instantly upgrades a basic look.

9. Wired Up

This accessory is a collaboration between Lelet NY and celeb hairstylist Adir Abergel (known for Kristen Stewart's adventurous looks).

10. Beaded Overhaul

Solange flexes her hair chameleon cred with beaded braids.
