When it Comes to the Holidays, Nothing Beats the Classics

There's nothing like a classic red and green Christmas spread to get you in the spirit. Chrissy McDonald of Harlowe James teamed up with Torrey Fox and Jen Nordine of Freckles on Fillmore to inspire your tables this Holiday season. Incorporating a traditional color palette with cute details like ticking stripe and homemade gingerbread men, this easy to reproduce spread can all be yours.

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year for a festive and elegant tablescape. For this get together I stuck to a traditional color palette and mixed a variety of prints such as a red and white ticking stripe runner, plaid napkins and holidays themed plates. It is all about the fresh greenery when bringing a holiday table to life. A large garland down the center of the table and wreath accented on the wall brought in a lot of texture and color. The other addition that added a bit of sparkle to the table was mercury glass pilar candle holders in varying heights. Instead of doing a large floral arrangement I stuck to a simple array of white anemones and red berries in two small mercury glass vases.
