Carlton Daze, Minnesota Voyageur 50 Mile Trail Ultra Marathon starts at 6 a.m. at Carlton High School and goes through Jay Cooke State Park to Duluth and back; details and registration at voyageur50.com. Pancake breakfast is 8-11 a.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 204 Fifth St.; cost is $8 for most. Car show is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the VFW; entry is $10 beginning at 8 a.m. Ongoing activities include food, craft and other vendors in and outside of the Four Seasons Complex, volleyball and cornhole tournaments organized by Third Base, a kids coloring activity at CreativEdge, book sale and bake sale at the library and city hall (11-3) bounce houses in the Brent's Heating parking lot (9-3), and bingo at the VFW (11-8). Lions Club live auction starts at 11 a.m. at the VFW. Paddlemania kayak race starts at 1:30 p.m. and can be best viewed from the Jay Cooke State Park swinging bridge.
