Community shows up for 58th Cass County Pancake Day
How many pancakes can the human body consume in one morning?
Visitors to the 4-H Fairgrounds tried answering that question Saturday at the 58th annual Cass County Pancake Day. The event is hosted by the Logansport-Cass County Chamber of Commerce, Miller’s Merry Manor and Cass County 4-H Fair Association, and multiple businesses and organizations were on hand to support the breakfast, which served all-you-can eat pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice and more.
The League of Women Voters was also in attendance to encourage residents to vote and promote the 2024 Candidate Forum to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 22 at McHale Auditorium.
Several businesses contributed food and items for the breakfast, including Martin’s, Tyson, Scooter’s Coffee and Logansport Savings Bank.
The money raised is used in several ways. For the chamber, the funds are used for operational fees and promotional support. The 4-H Association uses the money to help pay for materials needed for leader and youth development training. The proceeds also help pay for the different trips the fair participants attend.
