Congrats Are in Order: Darren Criss Marries Longtime Love Mia Swier in New Orleans Celebration
It’s official: Darren Criss and Mia Swier are husband and wife. The longtime couple got hitched over the weekend in New Orleans.
The two, who have been together for about eight years, said “I do” on Saturday, surrounded by friends, family and of course, some of the cast of Glee—John Stamos, Chord Overstreet and Harry Shum Jr. to name a few.
The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story actor announced the engagement back in January 2018 (although they were engaged a bit before that) in a post on Instagram. “Mia and I have had seven and a half years of fun, wacky, wonderful, CRAZY adventures together,” he wrote. “And I’m happy to announce that we’re kicking those adventures up a notch. We’re goin for it. To boldly go where neither of us have gone before. Engage.”
Swier, 33, has worked for Fox as well as Showtime and has been by her now hubby’s side throughout this awards season. In case you missed it, Criss has won an Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for the role of Andrew Cunanan in the Assassination of Gianni Versace. Talk about a busy year.
According to the 32-year-old actor, the engagement was a long time coming.
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Criss!
