The fallout continues from First Lady Melania Trump's dumbfounding, insensitive decision to wear a Zara jacket that says "I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?" en route to visit immigrant children separated from their parents at the Texas border yesterday. President Donald Trump has now responded to the scandal on Twitter. If you were expecting a dignified and appropriate response reaffirming his and his wife's concern for children and immigrant families seeking asylum in the U.S. despite Melania's statement piece, go back to dreaming. Donald instead attacked the media.

"'I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?' written on the back of Melania’s jacket, refers to the Fake News Media," he claimed. "Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!"

Her spokesperson, Stephanie Gris, dispelled this earlier when she told ABC White House reporter Meredith McGraw there was no pointed message. "It's a jacket," she said. "There was no hidden message."

Meanwhile, Rep. Dina Titus (D-Nev.) offered her own sartorial response to Melania. "Hey #FLOTUS, try this on for size," she wrote, attaching a photo of herself wearing an 'I Care' sign taped on her back. Now there's a real great look:
