'The Conners' Season 3 Is Going on a Short Break Before Airing the Finale
The Conners fans, we’re almost at the end of season 3.
Since season 3 of the ABC sitcom premiered in October, new episodes have been airing on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET. The third installment of the comedy series came to fruition after a lengthy production delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. Throughout the show’s latest season, the impact of COVID-19 was felt when break after break was announced. Now, there’s just one more pause before the season 3 finale airs, which means there will not be a new episode of The Conners on tonight.
Following last week’s episode, the show posted a 15-second clip on social media with an Oscars-inspired theme. The Conners promo teased that one of the characters was getting engaged: Becky (Lecy Goranson), Darlene (Sara Gilbert) or Jackie (Laurie Metcalf). While no one likes a waiting game, many fans didn’t seem to mind the interruption (caused by President Biden's address to Congress) and instead began debating about who the lucky couple could be.
When will The Conners season 3 return in 2021?
The Conners will come back to ABC with a new episode on Wednesday, May 12 at 9 p.m. ET. The Conners will be back with its 19th episode of season 3 entitled “Jeopardé, Sobrieté and Infidelité.” In the most recent episode, Becky opened up about her late-husband, Mark, and how their relationship affected her life. In the end, Becky found that she could not only lean on her family but also her friend Robin. After overcoming this moment together, it sounds like the upcoming episode will give the Conners plenty to celebrate.
The season 3 finale of The Conners will be dedicated to an audio crew member named Terrel Richmond who died on set after a “fatal medical event” on March 18. According to an Instagram post from actor Michael Fishman, who plays D.J., the episode was filmed “in loving memory of a lovely man.”
