Cool Mom Kate Middleton Let Her Kids Leave Paint Handprints on the Walls During Secret Outing

1 min read

When it comes to homeschooling her three childrenPrince George (7), Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2)—Kate Middleton doesn’t shy away from arts and crafts.

In fact, the Duchess of Cambridge, 38, took her kids on a fun excursion shortly before the U.K.’s lockdown went into full effect. The royal family visited Mable’s Paint Pot in King’s Lynn, which doubles as a painting studio and a traditional sweet shop.

According to a customer named Charlotte Chambers, Prince George and Princess Charlotte marked their visit by painting handprints on the wall. While Charlotte’s is orange, George opted for a green one and even wrote a backwards “G” before correcting himself and writing his first name, along with the date (March 14).

Per Hello! magazine, Chambers shared a photo of the evidence on her private Instagram account and wrote, “Spent the afternoon pottery painting, so much fun! Kate Middleton, Prince George, Charlotte & Louis were also here on Saturday!”

This isn’t the only time Middleton has taken her children to Mable’s Paint Pot. The visit came just a few weeks before Kate’s Royal Closet confirmed a separate outing on Twitter, writing, “The Cambridge’s were spotted at Mable’s Paint Pot, a pottery painting shop in Burnham Market, Norfolk. Kate and the children must have painted some adorable pieces!”

Middleton and her husband, Prince William, are currently self-isolating at Anmer Hall due to the coronavirus pandemic. We wouldn’t be surprised if she’s been organizing multiple at-home crafts, like the one in Prince Louis’s second birthday portraits.

Leave it to Middleton to make parenting look easy.
