KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — What a day for a local borough to open its public pool for the season. Sunshine and temperatures near 80 greeted folks who had fun frolicking in the water at the Kingston community pool.

This weekend is considered the unofficial opening of the pool. Visitors can expect the same familiar fun with a few changes.

“Added some new tables, added some new menu items to expand the food options at the snack bar so we’ve got some new stuff cooking up,” said Eric Bealla the manager of Kingston Community Pool.

“I love enjoying the water. I love seeing my daughter play. It’s just fun. It’s a good time,” says Acquisto from Kingston.

The Kingston Community Pool officially opens daily starting next Saturday. It costs $9 for Kingston residents and $13 for non-residents.
