Corey Feldman Makes Split From 3rd Wife Courtney Anne Official
A month after announcing his split from wife Courtney Anne Mitchell, Corey Feldman is making it court-official.
TMZ obtained legal documents confirming that the Lost Boys actor filed for a legal separation from his wife of almost seven years. However, he did not file for divorce yet.
As for why Feldman decided to file for a separation through the court now, it's stated that the 52-year-old wanted to prevent Mitchell from getting spousal support amid this time apart.
The publication also noted that Feldman cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation, with the documents revealing that the couple broke up on June 22, five months before their seven year wedding anniversary.
Feldman first announced the couple's breakup in a statement shared on Aug. 8. The actor wrote at the time, "We have been through so much together and still have much love and respect for each other. There is no one to blame. This is a case of life becoming really hard, Courtney dealing with health issues, and two people who have grown apart and now find themselves at a crossroads."
He added, "We don't know what the future will hold, but we know that the love we have for each other is not going anywhere."
This was the Goonies star's third marriage. He was previously married to Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Vanessa Marcil from 1989 until 1993. The Gremlins star then married model Susie Sprague in 2002, but they ultimately split in 2009. However, Feldman and Sprague's divorce wasn't finalized until 2014. The exes share son Zen together.
As for his third wife, Feldman met Mitchell in 2012 and married her in November 2016, a week after proposing.
