Costco Just Added a New Item to the Bakery Section, and Shoppers Are Calling It ‘Incredible’

Costco is no stranger to delivering delicious new products day after day and thanks to their latest bakery item, fans will have something new to talk about over the dinner table. While most shoppers are still trying to clear the shelves of the massive grazing board, those who frequent the bakery section are in for a true treat with a new fall-friendly item: the Green Chile Cornbread loaf.

Spotted on the Costco-specific Instagram account @costcodeals, the newest loaf to join the warehouse's expansive list of baked goods has sent the internet into a frenzy with its release. "First time spotting this Green Chile Cornbread in one of our local Costcos (??Issaquah, WA)! Has anyone tried it?" the caption read. And of course, the responses came flooding in.

"Tastes like cornbread poundcake!! Yum," said one follower. "Just bought it today to go with the chili I made. So yummy!!" said another.

Priced at just $6.99, the nearly 2-pound loaf is made with  both roasted poblano peppers and roasted jalape?o peppers and — in true cornbread form — cornmeal. But even with all of those peppers in the mix, customers do warn that if you're looking for heat you may not get what you're expecting. "Texture and taste Yummm! No heat to it, but still good ??" someone wrote.

Of course, it may take your local Costco a little longer to get the newest item, so before you head out to pick up a loaf, be sure to call in advance and ask if product 1719750 is stocked.

Regardless if you're hankering for the heat or just ready for something sweet though, this is one loaf you may want to try just to say you did. And with a price that low, who would blame you if you grabbed a few to freeze for chili and soup season?
