Costco
If there is one early Christmas gift worth getting for yourself this year, it’s a Costco membership. The popular bulk warehouse club has effortlessly made it a priority each year to stock its shelves with any and all of our collective needs. And as a member, when you’ve finished leveling up your meal prepping capabilities and finally getting around to replacing that old, outdated skillet set, what's left to do at everyone’s favorite bulk retailer? Well, slide on over to the bakery department, of course, and take advantage of the slew of fan-favorite, holiday-themed treats available for the taking.

Whether it be the extremely popular Kirkland Signature Peppermint Bark or the holiday appropriate Pecan Pie, one thing is for certain, Costco surely knows a thing or two about satisfying a pesky sweet tooth. And as we close in on what a lot of people consider to be the most wonderful time of the year, Costco’s latest addition to the bakery section just might be a gingerbread lover's Christmas miracle.

Costco’s Mini Gingerbread Cakes were originally spotted by Costco Hot Finds and are just beginning to make appearances in bakery sections across the country. These adorable mini cakes are made up of a gingerbread cake base with vanilla whipped buttercream icing and topped with a cute little edible chocolate gingerbread man. Available in a pack of 6 for only $8.99, these cakes have been described as having “the perfect mild amount of spice,” and absolutely “sweet and delicious.”
One commenter jumped at the opportunity to share a tip with anyone interested in the delicious holiday-themed treats, stating that you can “put them in a Ziploc bag individually, and freeze them, and then pull out when needed.” And although another commenter admitted that they “didn’t love these as much” as they thought they would, the same person still offered up an intriguing ingredient substitution, suggesting that the cakes “would be better with a cream cheese icing.” Not a bad idea if you ask us. Another idea? Injecting the cream cheese icing into the cakes for more of a jelly donut type of experience. Hey Costco, are you listening? We’ll send an invoice.
