Costco Just Brought Back a Fan-Favorite Item to the Food Court Menu, and Shoppers are Losing It
When it comes to introducing new items to their coveted food court menu, Costco doesn't do so without first getting an idea of whether or not their customers would be receptive to the new additions. Known to test out new menu ideas at select locations across the country, sometimes you would hear of something new coming through the grapevine and then never actually see it at a location near you. When it comes to food courts though, it isn't easy being on top, and Costco knows just how to populate their menu with the flavors its customers crave most.

After testing out a Mango Smoothie earlier this summer and getting mixed reviews in the process, it seems Costco has recently brought back it's popular Berry Smoothie to serve as a more palatable alternative to the controversial mango option. Listed at the same $2.99 price point, the Berry Smoothie features a mixture of strawberry, blackberry and acai and has no added sugars, artificial flavors or coloring included. Its return to the menu may seem a bit lackluster to some though, likely because not all Costco locations had the mango flavor to begin with. Some locations have even been reported to have both options available the entire time.

“The berry smoothie has always been a thing that they were serving. The mango was probably a temporary smoothie,” commented one regular shopper before another interjected to convey their confusion, “wait wait wait, y’all had mango smoothies!?”
A recent Reddit thread also confirmed that the mango flavor will be leaving the lineup soon, with berry rolling out sooner than later. In a thread titled "Is the Berry smoothie back? Anyone confirm?" Redditors chimed in on the switcharoo.

"It’s coming back in a few weeks," one person wrote. "Once your warehouse has sold thru the existing stock/pallet of mango smoothie mix they will switch over," another person revealed to everyone.
Depending on which fruit you enjoy most, now might be a good time to hop on over to your local Costco to see what the latest word is in your area. And if you’re one of the lucky few who have both options available at your whim, we tip our proverbial hat to you. Enjoy your fruitful bounty.
