Costco's 'Amazing' New Food Court Item Has Shoppers Wishing It Was Available at Every Location
Costco’s food court has always been a force to be reckoned with. Its small, yet precise menu has a cult-like following that can mostly be attributed to the $1.50 hot dog combo, as well as a slew of now famous TikTok menu hacks. But no matter what your favorite menu offering is here in America, if you visit your beloved Costco while traveling abroad, you’ll likely be met with some unique menu alternatives.
Anytime we come across a unique menu offering at one of Costco's many international locations, we find ourselves wondering, “Why not ours?” And that was exactly how we felt recently when we discovered Costco in Canada has been serving up baskets of chicken tenders and fries, a truly American dish in and of itself.
In some cases, however, the unique menu offerings make total sense. And after a recent trip up north, the good people over at Costco Deals Online may have discovered our next excuse to take a trip to Canada.
While taking a gander at what Costco Canada has to offer, the admins behind the popular Instagram account discovered a menu offering that you’d be hard-pressed to find at any location in America: poutine. Customers can either purchase french fries on their own for $2.99, or make it poutine for $5.99 and add gravy for just $0.30 extra.

“The first thing we did was grab some poutine for $5.99,” the author of the post wrote.“Poutine is fries with cheese curds covered in hot gravy and it’s amazing!”
Viewers online were quick to express their woes with the American food court menu while in awe of the mouthwatering Canadian option.
“I love America, but we are sleeping hard on Poutine,” wrote one jealous viewer in response to the post. Others chimed in to describe the menu offering as “amazing” and totally worth a trip “back to Montreal just for them.”
For now, those of us on the outside will just have to recreate our poutine dreams at home. However, if you are planning a trip up north to our friends across the border this summer, it might be worth it to bring along your Costco membership card so you can sneak a taste of what looks to be one of the greatest food court offerings yet.
