They had not had food or water in 2 days.

Winter Storm Elliott has made the 2022 holiday season a time to remember--for better or for worse--but no one would've gotten through it without a little help from their friends. Just ask @chefmamarita! When her neighbors became stranded at work, unable to care for their dogs who were at home, she and her partner pulled off a fantastic feat.

Not only were they able to make it to their neighbor's house, but they were able to care for the hungry pups who hadn't had food or water in 2 days. If you ask us, heroes do exist!

This couple is so amazing! They're so selfless for braving the cold to get to the dogs, and we know their actions are appreciated. We wish we could nominate them for some kind of 'Neighbor of the Year' award!

"You are great neighbors," wrote commenter @magyar_raygam. "I'm so impressed with how all of you in that area came together to help each other. I pray you all get some relief!" You can say that again! A break in the stormy conditions would be nothing short of a miracle, but this was pretty darn impressive. Even the dog came outside to help!

"I made it a point to get to know my neighbors for many reasons.," said @heathertheempath. "We can rely, help, and trust each other." We love to see that! Besides, who doesn't want to be fur-iends with the neighbor dogs?
