Couple shares the secret to 50 years of happy marriage
June and Lloyd Zeger have been together since the 1960s, and they’re still happy as ever.

June and Lloyd Zeger have been together since the 1960s, and they’re still happy as ever.
“The last 50 years has been a flash, had its ups and downs, but I loved every moment of it,” Lloyd told In The Know.
June and Lloyd first met in 1964 while June was “playing the piano in a plaid shirt and Dungarees.”
“The first time I saw her, I knew,” Lloyd said.
It wasn’t quite love at first site for June, though. She told In The Know that she “had no interest in [Lloyd]” when they went on their first date and only accepted his invitation due to “family pressure.”
“We drove home from the city and we sat and talked for five hours. And I went to the house and said, ‘I can’t believe this. I fell in love,'” June said.
Four weeks after their first date, June and Lloyd got engaged. Today, they are happily married with three grown children, and they credit their success to compromise.
“It’s understanding what she needs and giving it to her, and trying to give her what she wants as well,” Lloyd said. “June comes first, forever and always.”
