Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden Favors Whimsical Patterns in Repurposed Dress for Stockholm Museum Visit
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden joined fellow attendees at the annual meeting of the friends of Nordic Museum and Skansen at Nordic Museum in Stockholm on Monday. The royal opted for a springtime sartorial statement, fashioning a frock with florals and soft hues.
Crown Princess Victoria wore the “Aimee” dress by Scandinavian fashion brand Malina for the occasion. The dress featured a high neckline and short sleeves with ruching, gathered fabric around the waist and a flowing skirt. The midi dress included a bouquet of florals imprinted on the light blue chiffon fabric.

The royal continued her color motif with a pair of jean blue pumps by Marzio and completed the spring-inspired look with a pair of butterfly earrings by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Maintaining a hairstyle the royal has worn for a number of engagements in the past, Crown Princess Victoria opted to pull her hair back in a low bun and wore makeup that accentuated her eyes.
The look is one Crown Princess Victoria has worn in the past. During the Sweden Summit in June 2022, Crown Princess Victoria fashioned the same dress, proving that florals are the perfect transitional pattern from spring to summertime.
Crown Princess Victoria isn’t the only European royal who’s demonstrated a keen awareness when it comes to repurposing attire previously worn for public occasions.
Kate Middleton has repurposed some of her best looks over the years. The Princess of Wales will either rewear an ensemble as is or upcycle the look with additional accessories. While attending the BAFTA red carpet in February 2023, the royal wore a white Alexander McQueen one-shoulder gown, which featured loose material along her arms.
She accessorized with bold gold statement earrings and black opera gloves. The princess originally wore the gown to the 2019 BAFTAs, but it incorporated a floral appliqué around the shoulder at the time.
Queen Camilla has also been a proponent of repurposing pieces from her royal wardrobe. The British queen consort has reworn dresses by two of her go-to designers — Anna Valentine and Fiona Clare — on a number of occasions.
She recently rewore a blue, peacock print Fiona Clare frock for the 2024 Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London on May 20. She wore the dress earlier in the month at the the opening of the 50th Coronation Library at Moreland Primary School on May 7.
