Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden Indulges in Maximalist Floral Prints in Alberto Biani Midi Dress for Museum Visit With Son Prince Oscar
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden was joined by her 8-year-old son, Prince Oscar, for her latest royal engagement. The two attended the opening of the exhibition “World of Water” at the Swedish Museum of Natural History on Monday in Stockholm.
For the occasion, Crown Princess Victoria celebrated the forthcoming summer season with a floral frock by Alberto Biani. The midi dress featured a shade of light blue with spirals of green leaves, sunflowers and more cascading across the fabric. The dress was also ideal as a transitional piece between spring and summer, featuring short sleeves.

As for the rest of her look, Crown Princess Victoria coordinated the dress with a pair of dark brown leather sandal heels courtesy of Saint Laurent. The royal also wore a dainty necklace and small pair of earrings, making her dress the statement piece of her whole ensemble.
Crown Princess Victoria recently embraced whimsical, feminine dressing as spring draws to a close and summer nears. For another royal engagement on May 27, the royal fashioned a look by a Scandinavian designer.
While attending the annual meeting of the friends of Nordic Museum and Skansen at Nordic Museum in Stockholm, Crown Princess Victoria wore the “Aimee” dress by Malina. The look featured a high neckline with short sleeves and a touch of ruched, gathered fabric around the waist.
The dress included a flowing skirt, with a bouquet of florals imprinted on the light blue chiffon fabric. Unlike her last solo engagement, the Swedish royal was joined by a special guest during Monday’s trip to the Swedish Museum of Natural History.
Prince Oscar is Crown Princess Victoria’s son with husband Prince Daniel, Duke of V?sterg?tland. The couple also share 12-year-old daughter Princess Estelle of Sweden, Duchess of ?sterg?tland. Like Crown Princess Victoria, Britain’s Prince and Princess of Wales, also bring their children to certain royal engagements when appropriate. It’s an unofficial tradition that highlights the preparation for the next generation of royals.
