Being a member of the royal family is not all fun and games—and neither is starring in The Crown. Emma Corrin, who plays Princess Diana on the series' fourth season, recently revealed that she was hospitalized during filming.

While shooting this season, Corrin spent two months on location in Spain. Though Corrin enjoyed the majority of the trip, during one of her final days on set, the actress found herself in an alarming situation.

"I’m asthmatic and I had been ill for a while with a bad cough,” Corrin told Glamour UK. “I had to film a scene in a freezing-cold swimming pool, with the kids playing William and Harry. It was honestly the hardest scene to film because I was genuinely keeping myself alive treading water, and also keeping five-year-old ‘Harry’ alive, as we found out he couldn’t swim!"

When the scene was finished, Corrin was taken to the hospital. Though she expected to simply pick up antibiotics and leave, Corrin's stay was unexpectedly extended.

"We were meant to be flying back that night to the UK, so we went past a hospital to get me antibiotics," she noted. "The doctors gave me an oxygen test and said, ‘We cannot let you go because your oxygen levels are so low,’ so I was hospitalized."

Though the incident was surely frightening, Corrin was able to make light of the situation. Corrin did try to keep a low profile, but when hospital workers figured out who she was, the actress had some fun with the staffers.

Corrin shared, "I remember the nurses, figuring out what I was filming and saying, ‘We know you're playing Princess Diana, would you like us to put a cardboard bag over your head so no one recognizes who you are?’ in broken English!"

Luckily, Corrin is now in good health. Viewers can watch the full swimming pool scene on this season of The Crown, which premiered on Netflix last Sunday.
