Cut-outs are back, babes.

As other equally evocative trends like corsetry and sheer sequined gowns have gained popularity, cut-outs have lost a bit of their red carpet luster. That all changed, however, on the 2024 Grammys red carpet when stars like Dua Lipa, Paris Jackson, and Kat Graham strutted struck poses in slinky, skin-barring ensembles.

In 2024, the cut-out trend plays well with others. Dua Lipa’s custom Courrèges gown featured diminutive cut-outs just above her hips while Kat Graham’s dramatic Stephane Rolland Couture gown used nearly invisible illusion mesh to hold her look together. Elsewhere, Bonnie McKee opted to blend a midriff slashing cut-out with this season’s trendiest shade: vibrant red. Ahead, we’ve catalogued every celebrity cut-out look on the Grammys red carpet.

Of all the cut-out looks on the Grammys red carpet this year, Tyla's gauzy gown delivered the most throwback energy. From its low-slung waist to the way the sheer pistachio-colored fabric draped and hung just so, the look brought the best of Y2K cut-outs into 2024 thanks to its diamante-studded mesh.

Grace Cummer's elegant Gucci gown proved that cut-outs have evolved exponentially from their early aughts body-con beginnings.

Coi Leray

Coi Leray's  Saint Laurent bodysuit was more cut-out than not. The daring, high-cut ensemble from the fashion house's Spring/Summer 2019 collection was balanced with sheer stockings, Jacob & Co. jewelry, and a bright green fuzzy shrug.

Bella Harris

Bella Harris's turtleneck gown featured a lower-slung cut-out than those worn by other stars on the Grammys red carpet, as well as a thigh-high slit.

Dua Lipa

As one of the Grammys' best-dressed celebs, Dua Lipa delivered both statement sequins and subtle cut-outs in a custom Courrèges shimmering sequined look.

Paris Jackson

Paris Jackon's slinky Celine gown featured a bold, torso-baring cut out, thigh-high slit, and asymmetrical bardot-style neckline in a feat of geometry and tailoring.

Kat Graham

Kat Graham's dramatic cut-out gown was runway ready – literally. The strikingly structured gown, part of Stephane Rolland's Fall/Winter 2023 Couture collection, featured a single cut-out that spanned the star's entire torso. The major cut-out moment was amped up even further by Graham's snow white opera gloves.

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum wore one of the most riveting and risqué cut-out gowns of the night. Her gown's combination of a halter neckline, illusion mesh, and rhinestone trim created sharp lines while showing lots of skin.

Bonnie McKee

On the other side of the style spectrum, Bonnie McKee's vivid crimson gown featured a single, subtle slash that sat just above her natural waist.

Chlo? Bailey

Another star who opted for an asymmetrical approach to cut-out's, Chlo? Bailey's Gaurav Gupta gown, straight from the fashion house's Fall/Winter 2024 Couture runway, mixed metallic beading for a bronze-y layered look shot through with gold and silver.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton's Reem Acra gown was barely there in more ways than one. Not only did it feature two cut-outs, one on either hip, but it's web-like pattern of aqua beading was layered over skin-tone mesh for a truly nearly-naked effect.
