Fashion-wise, chilly weather reliably heralds a few things. Sweater weather for starters, which has grown from referring to just its namesake knitwear to encapsulate all things cozy and yummy. One of the trends you’ve likely been eyeing for your own wardrobe is anything that falls into the “teddy bear” category, the cutesy name given to the nubby, must-touch fabric also known as Sherpa.

If it feels like you’ve seen these fuzzy pieces everywhere lately, it’s probably because you have. The look has seeped into every aspect of a modern woman’s wardrobe, from full-on jackets and sweatshirts to purses, shoes, and hats. You name it, and it’s probably been cloaked in Sherpa.

All of that abundance can make it hard to narrow the field down, and it’s easy to start to think that everything looks the same. They don’t, of course, and there can be a stand-out factor that’s actually impossible to see. Take for instance this five-star shirt-jacket—or shacket in fashion speak—from Amazon Aware, the etailer’s conscious line of clothing, beauty, and home essentials. It’s made of 100 percent recycled polyester, meaning that would-be plastic trash is getting another life via the cozy fabric that you’ll want to live in all season. Beyond that, it’s also part of Amazon’s Climate pledge like the other fashion items in the Aware collection (think jeans, tees, and underwear). All items are certified as carbon neutral by the outside agency ClimatePartner, with carbon credits purchased to offset the footprint it leaves through its production and distribution.

“It’s different than anything I’ve ever owned before. Putting it on it felt very nice, comfortable, and warm, but not uncomfortably so,” wrote reviewer Fran C. It “came in handy through all types of weather conditions, everything from blustery windy days to mild rain.”

“I wear this inside the cooler at my job where I’m often stuck inside for 3hrs at a time and it keeps me very warm and comfy. I like the loose fit as it allows me to actually button [it] up to my chest which isn’t always possible with coats like this,” commented Amazon shopper Audrey S., who noted that the “pockets are deep enough to hold my phone, earbuds, wallet, keys, and my gloves with a little space to spare.”

The cuddly fabric, conscious creation, and stand-out shopper reviews are all major reasons why it’s a strong contender for your seasonal shopping list, but they’re not the only ones. It’s offered in four neutrals that pretty much cover the spectrum, from a dark espresso brown (the most bear-like of all) to an ultra-pale blush pink. The size range is also very impressive, with a dozen options (you can shop from XX-small up to 7X). In short, there’s a teddy for anyone.
