A tug of war over a brunch spot will break out today. Some will want the traditional breakfast, while others will crave more of a lunch thing. But the nice thing about brunch is it's the place where a mushroom omelet can bump shoulders peacefully with a mushroom burger. If only the whole world could get along so well.
Gemini
Diversify your morning by doing something completely different. Chinese dim sum will be an excellent alternative to the omelet and home fry breakfast. But go with an empty tummy and expect to be there a while. With such a delicious array of barbecue pork buns, shrimp dumplings and lotus leaf rice wrap at your disposal, you'll want to take your time.
Cancer
You'll learn today that bigger isn't always better. Such will be the case when you wait an hour to get into a new trendy restaurant only to be served something that wouldn't satisfy a sparrow. Save your money and hit your local down-home eatery instead. The Blue Plate pot roast and mashers special will stick to your ribs, and you'll have enough money left over for a slice of chocolate cake.
Leo
Turn up the heat today if you really want to lose weight. Red chili peppers contain a compound called capsaicin. This property slightly increases your body temperature, which in turn burns calories quicker by boosting your metabolism. Use chilis to spice up stir-fry, chili, scrambled egg whites or other low-calorie, low-fat meals. For once, getting hot under the collar will be a good thing.

After an action-packed past few days, you'll want nothing more than to relax today. Chores and tasks demand attention, so that may not be possible. Get an early start and you'll be able to knock them off one by one. But don't even think about cooking in the evening. Sitting down to a nice bottle of cabernet and a big plate of chicken parmesan at a restaurant will be your reward for being so diligent.

Friends will look to you for help with their personal problems today. This will be flattering, but you may not have the answers they're looking for. Treating them to a homemade meal may be the next best thing. After indulging in a bowl of your fresh lentil soup, they may actually feel a little better about life.

You'll find today that small things can deliver big results. For instance, just a pinch of cinnamon in yogurt, cereal or tea can actually help you burn fat. Cinnamon contains compounds that help convert blood sugar into energy rather than fat, which can make a big difference in your quest to get smaller.
Sagittarius
You may be soon leaving on a jet plane, but don't forget to include nutrition in your travel plans. Bring along plenty of healthy snacks for those long flights so you can eat something other than nuts. Trail mix, energy bars or peanut butter sandwiches are all good choices. And drink plenty of water to keep from getting dehydrated.
Capricorn
Your work problems are now behind you, and it's time to relax. So don't make any plans to do anything today. Watching movies on TV will be all you'll want to do, and the most energy you'll exert will be microwaving a bag of popcorn and cracking open a nice bottle of shiraz.

Dieting is all about making compromises, but giving up snacking altogether will be a mistake. You may be so hungry come mealtime that binging will be a problem. Drama at home may make you tense and irritable today. So it may be best to remove yourself from the source of consternation. Spend the afternoon reading a book at your favorite coffee cafe. The quiet time will do wonders for your psyche. A few cups of organic chamomile tea won't hurt either.
