Dairy Queen fans are over the moon about the special summer Blizzard flavors that will be landing on menus in about two weeks.
The summer of 2024 will see three popular Blizzard flavors return to Dairy Queen locations. Three new flavors will also debut at Dairy Queen this summer, according to food influencer Snackolator.
The six menu additions will arrive on April 1—and, according to Snackolator's March 14 Instagram announcement, this is not an April Fools’ prank.

Frosted Animal Cookie, Brownie Batter and Cotton Candy are the three flavors that are queued up to return to Dairy Queen’s summer Blizzard menu. The new Blizzard flavors will be Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party, Picnic Peach Cobbler and Ultimate Cookie, a soft-serve concoction featuring a blend of Oreo, Chips Ahoy! and Nutter Butter cookies.
The Ultimate Cookie Blizzard might remind Dairy Queen fans of the Nutter Butter milkshake, another new menu item that is also expected to land on April 1. Meanwhile, the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party Blizzard will include a tasty blend of peanut butter, peanut butter cookie dough and sprinkles, while the Picnic Peach Cobbler Blizzard is already drawing comparisons to Chick-fil-A’s popular Peach Shake, according to Snackolator.
Fans of the fast food chain appeared to be counting down the days until the new Blizzard flavors arrive on Dairy Queen menus, with some Instagram users leaving comments that simply copied the date on which the treats are expected to land. Some people were excited by the returning flavors, while others shouted out the new flavors they’re most eager to try.
“Brownie batter is my favorite,” one fan said of the returning Blizzard, while another wrote, “FROSTED ANIMAL COOKIE LETS GO.”
Several people said they are “excited” to try the Ultimate Cookie Blizzard. The peach-flavored Blizzard also appeared to be a popular choice among those who left comments on Snackolator’s Instagram update.
Despite the excitement, some Dairy Queen fans were sad to see that the forthcoming summer Blizzard menu won’t include the popular S’mores Blizzard Treat, which was available last summer.
“Where is the s’mores blizzard,” one person wondered. Another wrote that “not having the s’mores blizzard for summer is outrageous” and added that its omission left them feeling “doomed.”
