Dairy Queen Serves Up Magical Return of Fan-Favorite St. Patrick’s Day Blizzard Treats
Dairy Queen Blizzard
It's already shaping up to be quite a lucky season ahead for Dairy Queen lovers, as the ice creamery is set to bring back some of its fan-favorite treats.
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, celebrated yearly on March 17, the chain has announced its Mint Brownie Blizzard and Under the Rainbow Shake will both be making a comeback to menus for a limited time.
The Under the Rainbow Shake is said to feature a "mixture of magical strawberry flavor and rainbow sprinkles blended with creamy DQ vanilla soft serve and topped with whipped topping and rainbow sprinkles," while the Mint Brownie Blizzard includes "a delicious combination of rich, chocolatey brownie pieces, choco chunks, and cool mint blended to perfection with DQ’s world-famous vanilla soft serve," per a press release shared with Parade.
On Wednesday, Feb. 7, Instagram food blog Snackolater shared details of the sweet treats alongside a photo featuring the ice cream beverages, and the comment section of the upload was rife with fans eagerly awaiting the arrival of the special edition offerings.
"That shake was heavenly. I was scared it was not gonna come back. I'm a March baby so it's perfect for my birthday," one joyously admitted, while another confirmed, "I am SO getting the blizzard!"
Someone else took the opportunity to campaign for a brand collaboration, fittingly suggesting, "I wish they'd do a tie in with Lucky charms," and we've got to admit, that doesn't sound like a bad idea!
The returning menu items are available now, as of Monday, Feb. 5, though it's unclear how long they'll stay around, so eager tastebuds are urged to head to a nearby Dairy Queen to get your fix before it's too late!
