Which 'Dancing with the Stars' Pro Will Not Return for Season 32?
Witney Carson, Jenna Johnson and Lindsay Arnold
Witney Carson revealed today that she’s hanging up her dancing shoes for Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars.
The dance pro, who last season placed third with Wayne Brady, took to TikTok on Sunday to announce her absence from DWTS when the show returns this fall.
“This was not a decision that we took lightly,” said Witney, who has sons Leo, 2, and Jett, 3? months, with husband Carson McAllister. “We definitely thought and prayed about it for a while, but we will not be doing Dancing with the Stars this season. As much as that pains me to say, I just felt very at peace with it.”

Witney went on to explain that family is the most important thing to her, and moving her entire family across country was not the right thing to do at this point in time.

“You guys know that family is the most important thing to me, and we just really felt that moving our entire family across the country right now was not for us,” explained Witney, who moved with her husband and son to Florida earlier this year.
“Leo’s at an age where he needs consistency and dependability, and he hasn’t had that ever since he’s been born,” she continued. So, we’re just really trying to give him that right now.”
Witney, who gave birth to Jet last May after the move, also explained—and understandably—that she’s not feeling “mentally and physically ready for what the show calls for.”

That said, she indicated that she hopes to return at some point, adding, “I love dance. That is my passion, so this was definitely a hard decision. But I will be rooting for everybody on the show, I cannot wait to watch. I’m so excited. I definitely think this is just a break. I hope it’s not goodbye. But for now, we will be their No. 1 cheerleader watching. Love you guys.”

Carson isn’t the only pro who has opted not to return this year. Earlier both Mark Ballas and Cheryl Burke announced their decisions to hang up their dancing shoes.
When Dancing with the Stars returns this fall it will be co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough and will be simulcast on ABC and Disney+.
There are two confirmed celebs so far: Vanderpump Rules’ Ariana Madix and Season 20 Bachelorette Charity Lawson.
