At the end of his trial, the jury found Masterson guilty of two counts of forcible rape after he was accused of raping three women at his Hollywood Hills home between 2001 and 2003.
Shortly after the sentencing, Phillips filed for divorce from Masterson, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.
In the filing, she requested full legal and physical custody of their daughter, proposing Masterson get visitation rights. Phillips also asked for their assets to be divided by the court as separate property and for Masterson to pay her attorneys fees.
An attorney for Phillips said at the time that Masterson's case had been "unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family" and that her daughter remained her number one priority.
