Deadpool 3 Resumes Filming And Will Hit 2024 Release Date

Breathe easy. Deadpool 3 has resumed filming and will hit its new release date of July 26, 2024.

Phew. Deadpool 3 is the main Marvel movie scheduled for 2024, after a whole bunch of titles were shifted around following the Hollywood strikes. Ryan Reynolds' return with buddy Hugh Jackman is still on track, according to Marvel Studios exec Wendy Jacobson.

Deadpool 3 is the highly-anticipated team up for Deadpool and Wolverine, complete with his classic X-Men costume. We haven’t seen Wolverine star in a movie since 2017’s Logan.

2024 is a quiet year for Marvel movies, and it appears the studio is licking wounds and rethinking its approach to the MCU - Kang actor Jonathan Majors is causing trouble with legal problems, and there’s a lot of shuffling behind the scenes as it attempts to introduce more superhero teams like The Fantastic Four and X-Men.

Marvel has delayed the release of a bunch of titles, with both Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts pushed out of 2024 into 2025, joining a new date for the Blade reboot.

Those delays might benefit Sony, which has three superhero titles lined up for 2024; Madam Web in February, Kraven The Hunter in August, and Tom Hardy's Venom 3 in November.

Outside of movies, 2024 should be a good year for Wolverine, as the Canadian killing machine celebrates 50 years since his first appearance, with Marvel publishing a stream of covers to commemorate the occasion.
