Deadpool Director to Helm Jurassic World 4
Fresh details are emerging about Jurassic World 4.
Firstly, the director has been confirmed as David Leitch. In a report by Deadline, the Deadpool 2 director will helm the as-yet-unnamed next Jurassic World movie.
The report notes negotiations are still in the early stages, however.
Leitch co-directed 2014’s John Wick, 2017 Atomic Blonde, 2018’s Deadpool 2, 2019’s Hobbs & Shaw, and 2022’s Bullet Train.
Before Jurassic World 4, Leitch has Ryan Gosling/Emily Blunt action flick The Fall Guy, which releases May 3, 2024.
Steven Spielberg is set to serve as executive producer, while writer of Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, David Koepp, is also on board.
Universal also confirmed the film’s release date in a post on Twitter: July 2, 2025.
It's likely to launch alongside the game, Jurassic Park: Survival, which puts you inside the 1993 film.
According to reports, the new Jurassic World has no continuity with the most recent trilogy. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are not expected to return, and neither are Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill.
