  • Dean Unglert said it’s “a little fishy” Clare Crawley stopping filming The Bachelorette after 12 days.

  • Clare reportedly fell in love with contestant Dale Moss, and the producers gave her the option to leave the show.

Until The Bachelorette actually premieres, there’s no way to know for sure what really went down on Clare Crawley’s season. Right now, we basically just know that she reportedly fell in love with Dale Moss days after they began filming, producers confronted her and gave her the option to stop filming, and now she and Dale miiight be engaged. Since this news broke, Bachelor Nation has been spiraling, but Dean Unglert just came through with his own theory and, TBH, he may be onto something.

Talking to Us Weekly, the Bachelor in Paradise alum said he doesn’t get why Clare wouldn’t give the other guys a chance. He explained, “I don’t understand why Clare could just be like, ‘Yep, this is the person I like. Let’s just cut me off now.’” He added, “There’s gotta be something else and I don’t know what it is...It just seems a little fishy. It’s a little too convenient that Clare fell in love [in] 12 days and left the filming of the show just to pursue the relationship with this guy.”

Okay, now this is a conspiracy theory I can get behind. If Clare truly fell in love that fast, good for her! But as Dean went on to say, contracts exist for a reason, and it’s unlikely production would just let Clare out of hers.

“I’m sure at some point they leaned over to production and they’re like, ‘Hey, can you just, like, cut this production short? Because I’m going to just pick this person anyway,’” Dean presumed. “And they’re always like, ‘No, you can’t do that. You signed a contract to film for three months or however long you have to finish out the show.’”

So, uh, knowing that bit about the contracts, it’s understandable why Dean would think this is “a little fishy.” Seriously, what does production know that we don’t!?!?
