Delaware oyster house visited by President Biden is one of Yelp's top seafood restaurants
A Rehoboth Beach restaurant recently visited by President Joe Biden was named one of Yelp’s Top 100 Seafood Spots 2024.
Henlopen City Oyster House on Wilmington Avenue is No. 33 on the list of seafood restaurants that Yelp reviewers are passionate about.
Seafood is a popular topic of interest for its nationwide contributors, according to Yelp.
Yelp identified businesses in the seafood category already on its platform with a large number of reviews mentioning “seafood." Then, it ranked those spots using several factors, including the total volume and review ratings between Jan. 1, 2001, and Dec. 13, 2023.

During the beach town's winter and shoulder seasons, the usually dinner-only restaurant is open for lunch.
Joe Baker and Chris Bisaha own Henlopen City Oyster House. They opened it in 2010.
The restaurant is a favorite of locals and tourists who come for the lobster roll, the lobster macaroni and cheese, the crispy fish sandwich, herbed grilled Delaware Rockfish, the fried oyster dinner, and, of course, the enticing selection of raw oysters.
Landlubbers can get hamburgers, pulled pork and filet mignon
Henlopen City Oyster House is open at noon for lunch and at 4 p.m. for dinner Monday through Saturday. It is closed on Sunday. It does not accept reservations.
The Bidens occasionally dine out when they visit their homes in Rehoboth and Greenville. In Rehoboth, they have visited Egg several times and have dined at The Quoin in Wilmington. President Biden also has recently dined at Mrs. Robino's and Rocco Italian Grill & Sports Bar in Wilmington's Little Italy.
