Demi Moore Shares Heartbreaking Health Update for Bruce Willis Amid Dementia Battle

Demi Moore is learning how to cope with ex-husband Bruce Willis' health situation in the best way she knows how: by letting go of who he used to be, and appreciating him for who he is now.
The Striptease star provided a word of advice for others in similar situations, amid the Red actor's diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia, which was announced in Feb. 2023.
According to the National Institute on Aging, "many possible symptoms" can present themselves as a result of the disorder, "including unusual behaviors, emotional problems, trouble communicating, difficulty with work, or difficulty with walking."
During a recent appearance on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM show Radio Andy, where she was promoting the upcoming series Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, Cohen asked the actress to share insight on caring for loved ones with Willis' condition. “What message do you have for people out there who have family members who have dementia? Who are maybe caring for them or in their lives?” he inquired.

“I think the most important thing I could share is just to meet them where they’re at,” the Ghost star replied.
Willis and Moore were married from 1987 to 2000, and share three now-adult daughters: Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. The former couple has continued to stay close since their divorce, with the G.I. Jane actress often appearing in photos alongside him and his wife, Emma Heming Willis, with whom the Die Hard actor shares two additional daughters, Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9.
Continuing to discuss the way the blended family's dynamic has changed, Moore continued, "When you let go of who they’ve been, or who you think they [should be], or who even you would like them to be, you can then really stay in the present and take in the joy and the love that is present and there for all that they are, not all that they’re not.”
