This New Destination-inspired Clothing Line Was Made for Travelers
Laure Hériard Dubreuil has had a busy month. As if opening the fifth installment of her multi-brand luxury boutique The Webster in time for the holidays wasn't enough, she just launched the resort line of our dreams.
Inspired by her years of experience in the fashion industry and her own global lifestyle, Hériard Dubreuil’s new line, LHD, features ready-to-wear such as easy dresses, layering pieces, and exclusive accessory collaborations with brands like Maison Michel and Aurelie Bidermann. With an emphasis on graphic prints and vibrant color palettes, LHD embodies the spirit of travel through her own chic sensibility.
Her reason for producing collections only for the Resort and Spring seasons is simple. “Resort and Spring make you dream of a warm-weather escape. It was important to me to create a collection that you take on vacation,” Hériard Dubreuil said, adding that she's endlessly inspired by travel. “LHD is about the easy pieces you can pack in your suitcase and fit right in with the local aesthetic. You dress for the destination and each season will focus on a new location.”

It felt natural to start with The Miami Collection because of the city’s personal relevance in Hériard Dubreuil's life. She lived there for many years, and it was where she opened her first Webster boutique. The city’s colors, architecture, and energy are big sources of inspiration for her.

As for the collection itself, it's an assortment of electric turquoise and orange dresses with bright liberty florals, seashells, and crocodiles, and it can easily be taken from a day in South Beach to a night out. “Miami was once my home but now very much is a destination for me, so having the perfect pieces to pack to wear when I visit is something I look forward to,” she said.
She also wanted her first destination to be a balance between aspirational and accessible: “Miami is where the cool girls we want to be wearing LHD are going for weekend escapes.”
Admittedly, focusing her line on travel gives Hériard Dubreuil an excuse to see the world more. “It’s research, of course!" she said. "My most recent exotic travel was to Belize for that very reason. A change of scenery gives me all sorts of new ideas.”
Perhaps that’s a clue as to where she’ll take us next season. And if it’s as good as her first collection, count us in.
