All the Details About Clare Crawley’s Neil Lane Engagement Ring From Benoit Beausejour-Savard
Clare Crawley got some pretty gorgeous ice from the first-ever Bachelor Winter Games — and she’s super excited to show it off. The Bachelor alum, who was the runner-up on Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor and also appeared on the first season of Bachelor in Paradise, is now a bride-to-be, thanks to her Winter Games costar Benoit Beausejour-Savard.
And Beausejour-Savard, for his part, wanted to make sure that his proposal was something worthy of Bachelor Nation, and so enlisted the help of Bachelor veteran Neil Lane. The result? A stunning 2.3-carat diamond ring made up of an oval cut diamond surrounded by 84 tiny diamonds. The band is platinum.

“It’s overwhelming, it’s crazy,” Crawley told People of the surprise engagement, which took place in front of a live studio audience during Thursday night’s The Bachelor Winter Games: World Tells All show. “Going on these Bachelor shows is a huge risk and you don’t know the outcome. It’s scary, but it’s a risk that you have to take to get the good in the end.”
Beausejour-Savard told People that he had decided to propose just one week before he did, giving him a short amount of time to secure a ring. Lane’s help, he said, was crucial.
“He didn’t have the one I was looking for, so he built a custom one, which is amazing,” the former Canadian Bachelor contestant said. “It was exactly what I asked, and he did the best job ever. It blows my mind. It was the first time that I had to shop for this, and it will be the last one for sure. It’s kind of stressful, but I’m glad she likes it.”
Crawley and Beausejour-Savard’s journey to love has been a tumultuous one. The pair had obvious chemistry when they first met at the Winter Games, but though Beausejour-Savard was open about his strong feelings for her from the start, Crawley was also developing a relationship with German contestant Christian Rauch. When Crawley told Beausejour-Savard she wanted to see where her relationship with Rauch was going, Beausejour-Savard left the show brokenhearted.
The pair reconnected after filming, however, when he reached out to Crawley to see how she was doing post-show.
“At that point, I was just thinking, ‘She’s ending up with Christian,’” he told People. “The sentence that kept running through my mind was, ‘It’s not the end of the two of us.’ But I knew at that moment that she may have fell for him. It didn’t happen, so she just called me and from there, it went better and better, and we spent hours and hours each and every day talking to each other.”

When he decided that Crawley was, ultimately, the one for him, he reached out to her family via FaceTime to get their blessings. He said they said yes.
Crawley told Us Weekly that her family was still shocked by the proposal, however. “They thought I was tricking them. They thought I was completely tricking them,” she said. “I’ve talked to them all about Benoit, so they know about him. When I get scared or have my moments of like, ‘This is a lot,’ they’re like, ‘Clare, he’s amazing and this is everything you’ve ever wanted!’”
And the rest, as they say, is Bachelor history.
