No Time to Die spoilers ahead...

James Bond's franchise overseer Barbara Broccoli has promised that 007 "will be back."

For those who've witnessed the explosive death twist at the end of No Time to Diekilling off Daniel Craig's incarnation after he saved Madeleine Swann and their daughter Mathilde – this news reiterates how the iconic secret agent is being recast.

At the recent Deadline Contenders Film: New York event — also attended by producing partner Michael G Wilson, star Rami Malek, special effects supervisor Chris Corbould and production designer Mark Tildesley — Broccoli shared: "We'll figure that one out, but he will be back. You can rest assured James Bond will be back."

While we'll have to wait and see which actor gets the iconic gig, but as far as Craig successors go, Worlds of DC actor Henry Cavill isn't ruling himself out of becoming the iconic spy.

Back in November, he commented to The Hollywood Reporter: "Look... I hate it when people start a sentence with, 'Look,' it sounds like they're lying about something.

"I think it would be very exciting to have a conversation with the producers. In an ideal world, I'd never have to turn anything down. Nothing is off the table. It's an honor to even be part of that conversation."

These remarks arrived just a few weeks after Cavill admitted he'd play pretty much anyone in the 26th Bond flick — including a nemesis.

"If Barbara [Broccoli] and Michael [G Wilson] are interested in me in any capacity to be a part of their movies, then I will gladly have that discussion, and that would be something I'd be very keen to explore further," he said to The Movie Dweeb's Daniel Merrifield.
