Who Did Charity Pick on ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 20 Finale?
It was the moment of truth for Charity Lawson as she decided between three men in Monday night’s Season 20 finale of The Bachelorette.
As the ABC show began, fans knew that Charity’s final two in Fiji were Dotun Olubeko and Joey Graziadei.
But in a dramatic twist two weeks ago, eliminated suitor Aaron Bryant had arrived at the resort to plead his case with Charity. And she was considering him once more.
As always, a live studio audience gathered to watch the episode and "After the Final Rose" live with host Jesse Palmer.

What happened with Charity and Aaron in Fiji?
Over dinner, Aaron tried to convince Charity to keep him, saying, "You make me feel very special. I just feel good every time I see you."
Charity, 27, said in confessional, "Now I am reconsidering everything."
But at the rose ceremony, she eliminated Aaron again, leaving Dotun and Joey her finalists.
In letting Aaron go, she told him, “I’m so grateful for the time we had this week to get more clarity. Time wasn’t on our side.”
Aaron, who previously had a great hometown visit with Charity, told her gracefully, “You just gave me hope for what my wife even looked like. Charity, I’m always in your corner.”
What’s next for Aaron?
As Parade.com previously speculated, Aaron is going to still be looking for love—this time on Bachelor in Paradise, premiering Sept. 28 on ABC.
Jesse confirmed Aaron’s Season 9 BIP gig on Monday night’s broadcast.
How did Charity’s mom weigh in?
During The Bachelorette finale, Charity told the cameras about her decision between Dotun and Joey, “While I value everyone’s opinion, my mom is truly my best friend. So her opinion is everything.”
Vickie Lawson told her daughter to make her own decision, but seemed upset about Charity saying she was in love with both of her final guys.
“When Charity said what she said about being in love with two people, it makes me feel uncomfortable,” Vickie sighed to the cameras. “For Charity, ‘decisiveness’ is a word that she has to really get comfortable with in life.”
However, Charity’s mother believed her chemistry with Dotun “wasn’t as full-fledged as [she] saw” with Joey.
What happened between Charity and Joey?
The handsome tennis pro was confident as he met her parents David and Vickie Lawson, and sister Amiyaka Lawson.
"I think Joey could be the one," Vickie told the cameras.
During a date, the beautiful child and family therapist and Joey drank champagne. Joey showed Charity he'd framed their special poem from their previous New Orleans one-on-one.
He told cameras, "I'm going to propose to Charity. I have no doubts about that."
But Charity stopped Joey before her could get down on one knee.
She told him, "You've been very consistent in the love that you've shown and those things I've never experienced before. I've never questioned how deep our love is. I know it's there and I feel it. But as crazy as it sounds I've found love that's deeper with someone else."
That let viewers know she'd chosen Dotun!
Still, Charity wanted to make clear to Joey how hard her decision had been, telling him, "It won't make sense in this moment and it's hard, it's hard to get these words out because the truth is Joey, I'm in love with you. We've reminded each other that we're deserving of how much love we both need and want."
Charity cried and Joey said, "It's OK."
"My love for you is truly never going to go away. I want your happiness," she told him. "I truly don't want to think about the fact that our love is going to end today. I'm truly broken."
The two hugged and Joey said,"I will always have love for you, Charity."
She replied, "I will always have it for you."
As he drove away after elimination, Joey told cameras,"I want love bad. I just want to ask the universe, 'When is it going to happen for me?'"
What happened between Dotun and Charity?
Charity gave Dotun Olubeko, 30, from Fresno, California, her final rose in The Bachelorette.
The integrative medicine specialist proposed to Charity and she said yes!
"Miss Charity Lawson, would you do me the honor of turning this fairytale into a reality?" he asked.
Dotun told Charity in getting down on one knee in romantic Fiji, "You have been able to make me feel so incredibly special. You've made me feel adored and validated and wanted. And to receive that from a woman of your caliber, Charity, I don't think you'll ever understand what that means to me. But I'm certain I want to spend the rest of my life showing you."
Emotional Charity said to the tallest of her suitors,"You have made me feel alive. You have made me believe in love again. You've made me feel so valued and so seen."
She told the man who came to America as an immigrant from Nigeria, "I want a forever future with you. I see you as my husband. I see you as my future. I see it so clear. I don't have any doubts."
