Did Johnny Knoxville Just Give Up the Location for 'White Lotus' Season 3?
Johnny Knoxville, who is good friends with 'The White Lotus' creator Mike White, hinted at the season three location.
Pack your bags, because we may have the location for season three of The White Lotus.
Johnny Knoxville, who is close pals with Mike White, the creator of the HBO dramedy, seemed to let the locale slip during a Feb. 16 interview with Vulture.
"He and I had been in Tokyo together," the Reboot star said of possibly joining the third season, which was renewed in Nov. 2022. "I think that’s where the next…oh, I’m not giving anything away. I might call him again as soon as this is over."
In fact, he further displayed his interest in joining the critically acclaimed series by adding, "Hey, Mike, I’m still here."
Knoxville's tease wasn't entirely surprising, as White previously hinted that he was interested in setting the next season in Asia.

"The first season highlighted money and the second season is sex," White said in a HBO featurette following the season two finale Dec. 11. "I think the third season, it would be maybe a satirical, funny look at death, Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round."
For those who need a refresher, season one—which starred Jennifer Coolidge, Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, among others—took place in Hawaii. Whereas season two—which saw the return of Coolidge alongside a new ensemble cast, including Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, and Michael Imperioli—took place in Sicily, Italy.
Spoiler: Coolidge is not expected to return for season three, as her character died in the season two finale. The Legally Blonde actress further confirmed her exit from White Lotus in January, telling E! News, "[White] made his decision. He wanted a big, dramatic, Italian, you know, operatic ending for White Lotus 2, and he wanted to sacrifice Tanya."
