Did The Rock and Ryan Reynolds Just Get Matching Tattoos?
Even with all of the explosions, car chases and epic smackdown fight scenes, one of the coolest and most fun surprises in Fast & Furious Present: Hobbs & Shaw was the appearance of (spoiler alert!) Ryan Reynolds. The Deadpool and Detective Pikachu star had an uncredited cameo in the movie as Locke, a CIA operative and former colleague of Dwayne Johnson's character Hobbs.
In a particularly funny scene, Locke shows Hobbs just how much he admires him, but pulling his shirt open to display a tattoo that is uncannily like Johnson's. The Rock recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself and Reynolds, and took the opportunity to say just how much he enjoyed working with Reynolds on Hobbs & Shaw.

"I’ve known this brilliant SOB for years and we jumped at the opportunity to mash up our tequila and gin chemistry to deliver some magic for the audience," he said, referring to Reynolds' status as a gin entrepreneur. "Thanks RR for helping make our lil’ spin-off movie, the #1 movie in the world. Fans love it, so we’ve done our job, brother."
Reynolds, meanwhile, posted an almost-identical photo, saying: "I can only imagine how upset I was to discover this."

In addition to making a surprise cameo appearance in Hobbs & Shaw, Reynolds will be teaming up with The Rock again very soon on the upcoming Netflix heist movie Red Notice, which is also set to feature Johnson's Fast & Furious co-star Gal Gadot. The three actors will play "the greatest and most sophisticated art thieves the world has even known," in what Johnson promises will be a "global event."
